About us
In the early 1960s, the first camping guests came to Sveastranda Camping. The first few years there was mostly local cars and tents. Synnøve and Petter Berger Sæther were responsible for the operation from the beginning until 1998. Then Ole Petter Sveen took over the operation with his wife Mette Lunde Sveen.
The development of caravans, campervans and tents has been enormous. For many years, the biggest customer group has been from Trøndelag and Møretraktene . It is also like this today, but the trend is that there is an increase in motorhome traffic and that there are many who have their caravans standing still all summer. At Sveastranda Camping we have been lucky to have a lot of repeat customers. It is very common for young families who spent their childhood on vacation in Sveastranda Camping to return with their own families.
